World No.1 Lee Chong Wei adorned the court with deftness and deception to lead titleholders Malaysia to a 5-0 sweep of Australia to finish top of their group in the Commonwealth Games badminton team championships.
Australia's consolation was that they made a good fist of all the matches and had already made sure of qualifying for the quarter-finals in second place with victories over Nigeria, Seychelles, and the Isle of Man.
Lee looked every skilful flick and push the world's bst player as he overcame Nick Kidd 21-17 21-8 and started his team impressively down the road to its fourth sweep in as many days.

Kidd, a former English national champion nevertheless had his moments though, and so did the Aussies, for Huang Chia-chi made a good fight of the women's singles, and the mixed doubles went to three entertaining games in the final encounter.
But it was Kidd, once an itinerant player but now a part-timer who works as Executive Officer of the Badminton Association of Western Australia, who impressed with deeds and words.
"I've wanted to play him for a long time," said Kidd, who was born in Papua New Guinea, based himself in Avon while representing England 15 times, moved to Malaysia and is now Australian national champion.
